What Our Guests Say About Our Food

The saying goes: "One picture is worth a thousand words."  So in the interest of brevity we are posting a few photos of some of our breakfast offerings as provided by our guests or the local photo talent as well as comments by guests as written in their Trip Advisor reviews.

Asparagus, Prosciutto, Fried Egg – Yum!

"The breakfasts are 5-star, 3-course affairs that will not leave you hungry."

Ginger Basket with Fresh Strawberries

"Their cooking is fantastic: 4-course breakfasts (unheard of at other B&Bs we've stayed in). Absolutely top- notch food and accommodating (any food-related issues are addressed and catered to in a generous and thoughtful way). Karina's baking and home-made croissants are fabulous, not to mention some gooey chocolately treats that were to die for. Last day's fourth course was a tower of fruit, in a home-baked ginger snap bowl, drizzled with chocolate and decorated with a chocolate decorative topper - all homemade, and more a piece of art than food! Yummy."

INNKEEPER'S NOTE:  In the interest of clarity, we ascribe the reference in the quotation above of a fourth course to the "Morning Nibbles."

Classic French Omlet, Dilled Salmon and Peas

"Breakfast was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. My favorite was chicken sausage with onions and dried cherries, an accompaniment to the potato and leek fritatta. My mouth is watering all over again just thinking about it!"

A Poached Pear to Finish Breakfast

"Ah yes the breakfast –Wow!!! This isn’t your normal bagels, buns and butter B&B breakfast. Oh no, this is a full blown gourmet feast for the eyes stomach and soul. It is custom designed for you based on your likes, dislikes allergies etc. that you give them before you arrive. Weather permitting; it’s served on their patio overlooking the Santa Lucia Mountain range. On a clear day Dave said you can see 60 miles–and I believe him. It is a spectacular way to begin your day. I guarantee this meal will get you through a round of golf, winery tours, a Hearst Castle visit or shopping."

Someone Just Couldn't Wait - Traffic Light Veggies, American Scramble, and Sausage

"Breakfast was a highlight for us. We have stayed in lots of B&Bs before both in the UK and US and the quality of the food served far surpassed anything we had experienced previously."
